Pfizer Inc. and Cialis Corp., makers of Cialis and Levitra, said Thursday that its patent on a generic version of Pfizer's erectile dysfunction drug has expired and is now available.
In a statement, the company said it has made a decision to sell the generic version of the drug, and that Pfizer will begin marketing the drug through the Internet.
The decision comes after a year of litigation and uncertainties about when Pfizer will launch its generic version of the drug.
